![]() The third part is still the best in the heroes series IMHO, if you don't mind 2d graphics. I played the 3d HoMM variants and didn't quite like them. HoMM 3 is great, because it offers the most variety: units, maps, campaign etc. It works for me, if I'm in the mood (e.g. Core mechanics gravitate around collecting castles and units to crush your enemies, thats it. That is the main appeal, for me at least. I'd classify them as light strategy games, that you can pick up and play. ![]() I played the first, second and third part when they were first released, so I'm nostalgic about these games. Liked it, but didn't finish the game, it bored me after a while. It's a "match" game, that is very simplistic. This is the definitive version, which I recommend TotalBiscuit made a video about it, so here is the full story. Heroes of M&M 3 is arguably the best heroes title. ![]() Recommended, if you don't mind the slightly outdated graphics. The M&M games I know, with personal notes:įirst person action RPG, the combat is great. I never played the M&M role playing games back in the day, I was too busy playing WIZARDRY 7 and Lands of Lore, which I both recommend. The Might & Magic "core" series (without prefix or suffix) are role playing games that started in the 1980s IIRC. ![]()
